Perk Up Your Landscape with Contrasting Colors
Spring will soon arrive and bring fresh, bright colors to our lawns. If you’re looking to spice things up a bit this year, consider adding a few trees or shrubs to your landscape that add a touch of contrasting color to your landscape’s current color scheme.
According to the Arbor Day Foundation, there are a few trees and shrubs that can provide the right amount of contrast to your lawn to create a great focal point, or they can be used as accent pieces. Here are the suggested plantings:
- Thuja Green Giant Arborvitae – More commonly known as the “Green Giant,” this trees is a large evergreen that grows very quickly. The Green Giant boasts dense and rich green foliage.
- Yoshino Cherry – This tree blooms in beautiful white-pink flowers that are quite fragrant. They offer just the right touch of pink without over-doing it.
- Forsythia Bush – The Forsythia Bush is one of the first plants to signal spring is on the way, as it blooms early in the season. It is a fast growing and hardy shrub.
Adding a bit of contrasting colors to your lawn is a great way to refresh its appearance and create visual interest. If you are interested in adding some contrasting color to your lawn for spring, contact Pellettieri Associates, Inc. We would be happy to assist you!
